How Roots works: from sign-up to payout

Roots is structured so that responsibility and visibility match how clubs actually work. At the top is the club. Under that are teams or groups. Then come the sellers — often players or parents — and finally the personal shop where the purchase happens.

You do not need to understand the whole platform on day one. Start by connecting the club, invite team leaders and let sellers share their link. The rest shows up in the portal.

Someone responsible in the club registers the club and gets access to the portal. There you set basic details, team structure and goals. No start-up fee is required to get going — you activate sales when you are ready.

Within the club you create teams or groups. Team leaders can follow sales, support sellers and see how you are tracking against the goal. That lets a larger club stay organised without everything landing on one person.

A good team leader does not need to do everything themselves. The role is rather to create a simple start, answer the most common questions and make sure everyone knows where to find their link. Then each seller keeps the freedom to contribute at their own pace.

Each seller gets a personal shop page with a link and QR code. From there friends, family and colleagues can order the products — shampoo, conditioner, body wash or the Premium pack. The seller does not need to take cash or carry boxes around.

The customer pays online. The product is shipped home. The club's share is calculated according to the fixed 35% model — more on that in How much does the club earn?. You follow progress in the portal and receive payout according to agreement.

The best setup often distributes small tasks clearly. The club lead sets the frame, the leader gathers the team and each seller shares their own shop. Nobody needs to become a store manager, and nobody needs to guess where an order belongs.
